Nosara is a small town nestled amongst the jungle on the pacific ocean. Located in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica on the Nicoya Peninsula, the area lies in the middle of one of the world’s 5 Blue Zones. With some of the most consistent waves found anywhere in Western Hemisphere this is a true surfer’s paradise. The beach villages of Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada make up the popular tourist area of what is known as Nosara; however the actual town from which the name is borrowed is located 3 km inland. The overall feel of the area is one of a laid back, welcoming upscale village in which one can escape the faster paced every day life.
Having enjoyed steady growth in popularity thanks in part to its close proximity to the international airport of Liberia, as well as the many local activities such as surfing, yoga, wellness retreats, nature hikes and promoting a healthy lifestyle. There’s something for everyone here!
