Only four weeks old and already taking after dad... playing guitar until you pass out.

Anyways, sorry for the lack of post, but it is pretty much like groundhogs day here. We haven't had a day of surf over chest high in a while, almost a month. That, coupled with my lack of sleep has put me in a sleepy trance.

I have found one big downside to living here. In the states, the lifestyle is so unhealthy and the waves are so infrequent that I was really good about working out and running to stay in shape. Well, here the waves have been epic for about the whole time that we have lived here, and I have yet to workout or run, and the food is so healthy that I don't gain weight, but i am getting really out of shape. It is like chest high now and I am huffin-and-puffin. I am going to get my bell rocked when it gets big... which brings me to the next point. I am all for vacationers and surf lessons, but it is like a free-for-all out there right now. It is like Disney land for kooks when it is waist high. I just want some mackers to come through and clean some of those folks up.

So, Lil' Kemp is awesome. She is doing all sorts of stuff she shouldn't be doing for another 2 weeks, so that is good.

I have to go do some work, then get home to babysit...

Ok, so I have complaints all around today... Not enough posts, more baby pics and that the blog is only about the baby right now... Sorry, that is pretty much all I have been doing.

Lets sum up the last week... baby time, crying baby time, working, trying to surf some, eating and trying to sleep.

Some cool things are happening on the work front. Since I have been working here, doing real estate sales and cutting my teeth in some small development stuff, one thing that I have really missed from doing real estate in the states in the shared information and cooperation of realtors. Well, for the last month I have been building a Nosara Listings Sharing system, and this week I sat down with all of the key brokers in town, and it looks like the system is a go. So, from now on there will be much more communication and cooperation between realtors in Nosara, and a way to regulate and oversee ethics issues. It will benefit everyone, so I am stoked to be a part of it.

Enjoy your pics of my little ones. E.

Who wouldn't love that mug...

Well, Sarah's folks just left, so were kind of bummed today. For the last month we have had family around, and it has been super fun... but my momma is coming back on the 2nd of next month so we have that to look forward to.

In other news, I touched on this in the surf report, but we hit up Ostional two nights ago for the Arribada, and that was killer. Folks had told me that there were a lot of turtles and I have seen the eggs on the beach following an arribada, but there are a LOT of turtles. We showed up at 7, and the folks are super nice, it is 7 bucks a person for a little tour, you can't take a flash light or anything, and the guides have flash lights that only show the red light, which doesn't effect the turtes. The tour guides only spoke spanish, so I only caught about 30% of the nuts and bolts of the turtles operation. But basically they come in around the 3/4 moon and lay their eggs. They come for about 3 nights, so the first nights eggs are usually dug up on the second night. There were still little turtles running around on the beach from the last arribada, so you had to drag your feet. The turtles are on a mission and don't seem to care one way or another if you are on the beach or even in their way, as I had two turtles run into my feet on the way back to the beach.

While we were out there, Kemper included, our bud Nick said something pretty funny... He said, "Damn, Kemper's only 12 days old and she's already done more killer stuff than a bunch of my friends back home." Which is pretty true. She was born in Costa in San Jose, made the trip back to Nosara, has been surfing, gone to arribada, eaten at some of the best restaurants in town and regularly rides on a Dutch Shephards back...

later on. E

Baby, flat surf, more baby and fishing!!!! Oh and GO GATORS!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the lack of posts in the last week, I have been busy, busy, busy... Lots of good stuff going on. Lil'Kemp is great, she is eating and sleeping and crying. She is a strong lil thing, she can roll over and hold her head up, it is pretty amazing.

So a few funny stories about being a dad... I got pooped on for the first time yesterday. I am new to this whole thing, but am learning that when babies are just eating the breast milk their poo isn't really that solid, and with muscles like lil'kemp has she can squirt quite a distance. So, yesterday, I noticed she was a bit poopie and went to change her, all started well, it wasn't that dirty and I got her all cleaned up. Then I reached over to get the new diaper and turned around to hear a noise of squirting and looked down and she was projectile pooping on the bed and my leg. I cleaned her up again and she did it again, and the whole situation repeated itself. To wrap things up, she peed once and then I cleaned her up again and we finished up.

I have also decided that one of the most fun things ever is docking lil kemp. I always wanted to be a fighter pilot, and always thought it would be fun to refuel mid-air. Well, I may never do that, but I can pretend with my baby and a boob... and it contains boobs so that is awesome.

I digress, anyways, Brian and I went fishing yesterday offshore with Mike, my neighbor. It was a slow day, but it was a blast, driking cervezas at 9 in the morning... Brian caught a 35lbs mahi, and we cooked it up at Adu's last night.

Tonight we will finish off the fish making some fish Taco's before driking more cerveza and watching the Gators win the national championship!!!!

E, out.

What up folks??? Well, I have to say that after years of saying I don't really like little babies, I am pretty much at the whim of a little 8 pound alien. I surfed a bit yesterday, and was thinking about the whole experience and came to this conclusion... It took about 3 months to fall in love with Sarah and then 7 years to build the relationship that we have right now... In seconds I felt the same way about our baby. Pretty amazing, now I have to deal with 2 girls that can break my heart.
